Marketing Tools - Importance in Business

You should be in the business of Freedom

Unconscious Business Owner:

We manufacture Unicorn shoes made of fairy dust that retail with 124% net margins. It takes us two minutes a week to make a thousand shoes. What business are you in?

Conscious Business Owner:

I pursue freedom.

You know, it takes a long time—at least decades—for people to realise what truly matters. When we’re young (give me a break man, I was young once!), we chase instant gratification. Remember those early years? We wanted ice cream right away, no matter how many times we were told "no." We’d scream, "I want it now, before I destroy you!" (And then we got the ice cream.)

From there, it’s a straight line to wanting designer clothes, flashy cars, and luxury watches. But guess what? None of that brings long-term happiness or satisfaction. I’ve never met anyone who bought a fancy item and found lasting joy. Why? Because no material object can bring you true balance or deep happiness. It’s a fact.

Apps, Gimmicks, Things are worthless by and in themselves. It’s the value we project onto them or the experience and results we can harvest from them that matters. Essentially, you are the value creator in your life and business. Most people do this unconsciously, but once you become conscious, you can direct where you put your value. At some point, sooner rather than later, you’ll realise like us at Don’t Burn Any More Money On Marketing that everything should be put towards the highest value: freedom. And the specifics that get you there the fastest, with the most smiles.

The same goes for social media. It’s all about constant flashing, attention-grabbing, and denying reality. It gives momentary satisfaction, like watching a cat fall off a shelf or seeing a 21-year-old claim they’re a billionaire from one hour a week on Instagram. As a business owner, use social media for one thing: social proof. Otherwise, it’s just commercial ADHD.

Ladies and gentlemen, we live in an age of deception, instant gratification, and perceived simplicity. Success in business requires the opposite truth, facts, deferred gratification, hard smart work, commitment, discipline, and focus. Boring, right? Wrong.

For small business owners, it’s the best and the worst time to be in business. The best because there are endless ways to create, connect, and potentially build wealth. There’s so much money out there waiting to be brought in. But it’s also the worst because of countless distractions and over-promises. So many unicorn breeders, snake oil salespeople, experts, geniuses, strategies, methods, apps, and games. It’s overwhelming. That’s why we created Don’t Burn Any More Money on Marketing

Often, we business owners don’t know which way to choose. Worse, our attention spans are eroded by modern life. We barely stay on the bus long enough to reach the first stop, let alone our final destination.

The truth is, as a business owner, what will bring you the most contentment and deepest happiness is FREEDOM. When someone asks you what you do for business, you should say, (internally at least)  "I pursue freedom." Your business is the means to achieve this freedom—maximum choices on any given day.

Here’s what your business should look like:

  1. Set a Clear Destination: Aim to be free 36 months from now, be super clear!

  2. Growth Map: Outline the journey to get there, detailing what needs to be done daily, and measure it every month.

  3. Build an Engine: Create systems and processes to discipline the business and people, ensuring consistent progress in alignment with your growth map.

  4. Work on Leads: Attract prospects to your systems, turning them into happy customers who pay for great value, leading to profit and ultimately, freedom.

We at Don’t Burn Any More Money On Marketing are super passionate about small business. I genuinely believe business holds the answers to almost every problem humans have created (and those it hasn’t, which are very few). Small business owners are incredible. They work the hardest, put in the most energy, roll the most dice, often for the least reward. It’s an internal drive, a fire, a passion they just can’t stop. It’s an itch they can’t scratch.

But they are often misled and lack the experience or resources to help them sooner. Small business owners burn more money than they will ever believe by not doing the simple things correctly and often enough. What genuinely breaks my heart is how businesses and their owners are treated by governments, media, and anyone not in small business. Business owners are milked by the government, legislators, and councils, often left struggling. Sometimes it shocks me too how some business owners treat other businesses knowing what it takes,

That’s the downside.

Here’s the light at the end of the tunnel. There’s a different way of doing business. It means less social media, staying on the bus a bit longer, ignoring the unicorn breeders and gurus and following a scientific growth map focused on your financial freedom,

It might not sound sexy at first, but it’s the sexiest way to do business. Establish deep, mechanical, hardworking systems and processes that deliver consistent results irrespective of social media. Scale like a machine.

These growth systems and marketing processes are tough for small business owners to implement, not because they’re incapable, but because they’re out of resources and time. They’re already overwhelmed with everything else, including their passion. To build these systems correctly takes experience, wisdom, skills, assets and of course time, energy and money.

Professional marketing and lead generation takes time and needs to be done professionally. You need systems that deliver consistently. Whether you’re a dentist, vet, artist, salesperson, insurance agent, beautician, garage owner, or construction business, most of your time is spent on your trade and necessary admin, leaving little time for sales and marketing.

Don’t Burn Any More Money On Marketing is on a mission to help 3000 business owners set themselves free immediately (well within 90 days) with these systems and processes.

We establish your 36 month target, map out your growth in detail, build sales and marketing systems and processes to underpin that, so that business owners can focus on their passion of delivering excellent services and products while the systems handle nurturing prospects, keeping customers happy, and monitoring everything through a dashboard.

Imagine this: 90 days from now, you have a fully integrated system doing almost all your sales and marketing work. Nurturing, reporting, driving, recognizing—all in one place. Actual humans, not AI, monitor and manage performance.

There are some conditions, the business owner has to be serious about achieving the goal of freedom and be passionate about their customers having and amazing experience, the rest, well that starts with a FREEDOM ENGINE
